‘Assault on Precinct 13′ by James Rheem Davis
Postershizzle is pleased to show off the latest print from Cinema Overdrive today. This time James Rheem Davis has created a freaking cool print for Jon Carpenters ‘Assault on Precinct 13‘
The poster is a landscape UK Quad style measuring 36″ x 24″ and even features a quote from a British film critic from the film’s original release!
There will be two versions of this one, each of which is hand signed and numbered by the artist himself.
The Cyan REGULAR EDITION has a run of 50 prints and will be $45.00 plus shipping.
The Silver VARIANT EDITION has a run of 35 prints and will be $55.00 plus shipping.
The poster goes up for sale on Monday, May 2nd, and it will be available on the web site at www.cinemaoverdrive.net/merch if there are any remaining copies available after the show and the mailing list pre-order.

Our good buddy James Rheem Davis has just completed work on an incredible 24″ x 36″ screen print poster for EVIL DEAD 2 that you definitely should take a moment to check out!
Even though this poster is not for a Cinema Overdrive screening (this screening is taking place in the UK), James insisted that everyone on the Cinema Overdrive mailing list should get the first opportunity to purchase this one. So for all of you who have been supporting us over the past year and a half, we’re very pleased to be able to offer you such a great opportunity and we appreciate everything that James does for us.

‘Silent Night, Deadly Night 1.4′ by James Rheem Davis

For our holiday presentation of “a feature and a half” we chose to screen the notorious 1984 Christmas slasher “Silent Night, Deadly Night“, plus the second half of “Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2″ (and since part 2 is comprised of almost 50% flashbacks from the first film, you really only need to see the second half anyway!) Calling our mash-up “Silent Night, Deadly Night 1.4″, we enlisted James Rheem Davis to create a poster worthy of this Yuletide extravaganza. Setting out to capture the true essence of these films, James came back with a creation that was gory, sleazy and loaded with lewd cheekiness. So in other words, he absolutely NAILED it!
Drawing inspiration from the original Siskel & Ebert review of the film (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tl-b7vGZL3g), James incorporated authentic quotes from noted critics absolutely trashing the film. Coupled with imagery that the original producers probably wish they could have included in their original ad campaign, this piece even manages to incorporate an homage to the most famous sequence in the sequel as well.
This 5 color print measures 18″ x 24″ and was printed at D&L Screenprinting out of Seattle. Limited edition of 55 prints, each hand signed and numbered by the artist. They are $25.00 each plus shipping.

Also, for those who had inquired about the GOLDFINGER print from James Rheem Davis that we put out a few months ago, we do have a couple of copies left from the release run. These are ARTIST PROOF editions, and each of them were pulled from the release run due to minor flaws (corner dings, edge wear, small marks, etc). However, since the print has been sold out for some time and has increased in value a fair amount, we figured there may still be some interest. Here is what we have to offer:
PURPLE regular edition- 24″ x 36″ ONE COPY AVAILABLE (Artist proof, light “scuff” mark in upper left hand corner) $30.00
GOLD variant edition- 24″ x 36″ THREE COPIES AVAILABLE (1 Artist proof, 2 completely unsigned- all three light edge wear and creasing on the bottom but would frame out) $45.00
SILVER variant edition- 24″ x 36″ TWO COPIES AVAILABLE (both artist proofs- both have VERY light wear on the bottom, almost completely unnoticeable) $55.00
If you are interested in any of these please let me know and I’ll make them available on a “first come, first served” basis. There is a limit of ONE per person, AND one of the stipulations to purchase one is that you must buy at least two other Cinema Overdrive prints presently available in order to be eligible (see our web site at www.cinemaoverdrive.net/merch for more info).
However, these are not being marked up in price despite what they’re presently selling for (even a gold one with some creasing recently sold for $140 on EBAY a few months ago!) and you would still be eligible for the special discounts as well for buying 3 or more posters. Long story short, it is a deal for someone who still wanted to pick one of these up but missed out on the original drop!
