Slashfilm Olly Moss Interview
Unless you’ve been living in a cave recently you will have heard/seen the recent Olly Moss Gallery 1988 Exhibition.
Olly’s show was shrouded in secrecy which is one of the reasons I haven’t posted any pics yet ! The other being that no prints are available to buy online yet, so I’ll have an update for you then.
In the meantime head on over to Slashfilm for a great Germain Lussier interview with Olly, and a look and some of the fantastic pieces he created for this show.
Michael Steele ‘Recall’ prints
Gallery 1988 recently hosted a Michael Steele show called ‘Recall’ which featured some great movie inspired work.
Original Art is available for those money bags who can afford it and for us lesser mortals there are several prints available as well.
Gallery 1988 presents ‘The Road To Shermer: A Tribute To John Hughes’
Gallery 1988 Venice recently held their tribute to the late great John Hughes, and it produced some great new prints. There are too many to list here but I’ve included some of my favorites below.
As ever for those with deep pockets check out the original work for sale here. Those who are feeling the effects of the recession can grab a print here.
‘The Great Showdowns’ by Scott C
Recently Gallery 1988 hosted ‘The Great Showdowns‘ by Scott C. I love the concept for this show and the simplicity of Scot’s work. The word from Scott…..
Since the beginning of time, there has been struggle. The epic clash of being against being. Tyrannosaurus Rex vs. Triceratops. Giant Squid vs. the Sperm Whale. The Circle vs. the Square.
The struggle is forever. It makes the world turn around. These are the struggles that make us stop what we are doing and sort of check things out… wondering what the eff.
This is a chronicling of some of the greatest confrontations in FILM HISTORY. The greatest moments of melee. These are the GREAT SHOWDOWNS.
And they sort of enjoy that they are the great showdowns.

There are far too many great prints to show them all but I’ve included some of my favorites below
