Following on from the Berkeley prints below David O ‘ Daniel has also being doing some work for the world famous Castro theatre in San Francisco.
First up Grey Gardens. This measures 20″ by 26″ is signed and numbered and limited to just 40.
Next comes Citizen Kane. This measures 21″ by 34″. This is what the artist had to say about the print.
Originally this was supposed to be a standard still photo of Orson Welles with an intricate series of cogs and gears from an old printing press softly projected against his face. But no matter what I did to the halftone of his face he just kept looking like Cary Grant!! Out of frustration I blew up one gear that covered his entire head, just as a joke,…and…well….I just really liked it.
Next up The Sound Of Music. This fantastically detailed limited print measures 22″ by 30″
