If you’ve been following the blog or been by the shop the last few weeks, you’ve most likely seen some changes being made to the space. Well, we’re going to stay late into the morning putting the finishing touches on everything so we can reopen tomorrow, June 4th. To celebrate the remodel, we are finally releasing the all metal variant of Tyler Stout’s IRON MAN 2 poster.

These came out beautifully and Tyler even stopped by D&L to sign the posters himself! These will strictly be Austin exclusives. We will not be taking phone orders and we will not ship them. Doors open up at 5pm so get here early. We have a very limited amount of these on hand and we expect them to move quickly! If you have questions, email store@mondotees.com.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with the debut of geek poster champion Tyler Stout’s official one-sheet for the super fun documentary BEST WORST MOVIE which chronicles the second life of the truly horrible TROLL 2 as a so-bad-it’s-good party favorite.The trailer went up yesterday and now we have the posters! I’m not sure if these will be the theatrical posters or a Mondo-style limited edition, but I do know prints will be available in limited editions… I’ll update this article when I have more information, but I figured you’d want to see ‘em!

There is one design, but two posters. The second Gold and Silver one will be a limited printing, but the Green on the poster makes it, in my opinion. So, my favorite is the first!

“Here’s the deal. Tim at Alamo approached me about coming up with a poster for The Alamo Drafthouse downtown to help with an upcoming membership drive. Their 10 year lease is up, and of course the rent will now double. This is the Alamo that pretty much shows all the old crazy shit as well as new crazy shit all year long.

If you’ve been to it, you know there is a huge painting above the stairs of one of the classic posters for the John Wayne movie, The Alamo, showing Marion and boys battling it out with Santa Anna’s army. I suggested that since the theatre is under seige like it’s namesake, why not remake that poster but with all the great movie characters from films they’ve shown aiding Daniel Boone against the powers of darkness (I was just thinking Zombies, but Tim didn’t want Leatherface being one of the good guys, so we decided to have classic bad guys fill out the evil ranks).

Tim said, “That’s a good idea, can you make that?” to which I responded, “Fuck no, it would take me a million years. But I know who can.”

I’m pretty sure this piece comes in 3 variants (please correct me if I’m wrong) an original, a metallic variant and then a 2nd edition with more characters added. All measure 34″ by 24″.
