Once again the 2007 Rolling Roadshow produced some outstanding prints, including my personal favorite Goldfinger.
First up is the first of 2 Boogie Nights designs. This one is by Aesthetic Apparatus. This 3 color screenprint measures 24″ by 36″ and here’s a quote from the artist regarding this one.
This poster is our third invitation to create something for the Alamo Drafthouse’s Rolling Roadshow series. This year we got to design a poster for a screening of Boogie Nights. Not only was it shown in the valley, in a parking lot behind the roller rink where they shot a lot of the film, but it was the 10th anniversary of the film and director P.T. Anderson was in attendance and AND… they had the prosthetic penis from the film on display. Holy. Crap. Poster includes all essential elements; striped tube socks, karate stance, golden tuft of pubic hair and (in the droplet) the legendary quote “I think that you have the job, but why don’t I make sure of something…”
Next up another Boogie Nights print this time from Todd Slater. This one came in red or blue and measured 20″ by 34″.
Another Todd Slater and one of my all time favorites. Goldfinger is a screenprint measuring 17″ by 33″.
Smokey & The Bandit by Print Mafia. This screenprint measures 24″ by 34″.
Stand By Me by Eye Noise. Two separate screenprints here , sizes unknown.
